| Installation:
Fiberweb
is designed to be a protective membrane flashing' against
surfaces of structural steel beams, steel lintels and
other structural steel elements buried in masonry that
needs protection from corrosion caused by penetrating
moisture.
Thru-Wall Flashing: Starting 1/2"
from face, bend flashing to form drip. Extend through
veneer and turn up a minimum of 8".
For C.M.U. backup wall, bed flashing in the mortar joint
closest to cavity and seal with a mastic. For wood,
steel stud or framed back-up, seal into sheathing. Lap
flashings around comers and at end joints a minimum
of 6 inches and seal with an approved mastic.
Concealed
Flashing:
Install at windows and doors as specified in spec plans
using a
minimum of 6 inch strips of flashing at jambs and extending
4" above the head. At head. apply a 6" inch
strip of flashing over jamb flashings. At sills, flash
as for thru-wall installation instructions. Seal all
laps with an approved mastic.
Outside
Corners (Mitres- left to right):
Wrap flashing around, the comer, and starting 1/8"
from the right side of the comer, cut flashing at crease
to end of flashing. Secure Flashing into wall. Wrap
the adjoining flashing from right of wall back around
the flashing making the same incision as above and lap
6" over'the left side.
Apply Fiberweb tape at all laps and cut areas and then
a coating of an approved mastic to ensure a long term
seal.
Inside Corners (Mitres)
Wrap flashing around into comer. Starting 1/8"
from innermost point of comer, make an incision in the
flashing that extends to the outer edge. Wrap the left
side of the incision
back over the right up to the bend and press a piece
of the FIBER WEB tape over the entire length of the
lap, ensuring that the innermost comer is sealed. Apply
an approved mastic over the entire taped area to ensure
a long term seal.

End
Dams:
Where masonry meets another wall system, form an end
dam by turning flashing up at least 6 ". Apply
an approved
mastic over the entire taped area and seal to end masonry
units.

tested to assure conformance to the physical properties
listed herein. Fiberweb Corporation is not responsible
for damage caused by improper use. handling and installation.
The foregoing warranty is aU inclusive and is in lieu

for purposes other than those advertised or depicted
herein or warranty of fitness for a particular purpose.
